Eva Eleanor (Voetberg) Reeck, 95

| May 6, 2018 4:00 AM

Eva Eleanor (Voetberg) Reeck, 95, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at her home supported by her four daughters and Frontier Hospice.

She was born June 22, 1922, and this was forever “Twody Two.” Her father, Dick Voetberg immigrated to Conrad, Montana, from the Netherlands in 1911. He married Verna Doolittle of Shelby.

Eva received her registered nurse degree at the University of Iowa in 1945 after being married to Leland K. Reeck M.D. in 1944. They lived in Lytton, Iowa, Topeka, Kansas, Madison, Wisconsin, Tucson, Arizona, and Portland. After Lee’s death Eva moved to Kalispell and loved every minute of it living with daughter Beth’s family. Momma was very involved with two Bible study groups, her church, bridge at the Senior Center, and eating lunch out with friends.

Momma’s lifetime passions were quilting, reading and weeding. She loved her Savior, her family and her friends.

Always the encourager, she will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Eva is survived by a brother Robert (Thelma) Voetberg of Iowa, sons Dirk (Kathy) Reeck, and Lee (Joyce) Reeck, all of Arizona, daughters Beth (Leo) Hasse of Kalispell, Helen (Peter) Allegre of Kansas, Emma (Ty) Easton, and Christina (Dennis) of Gartland of Oregon. She was Boma (Bopa) to 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

“We love you, Momma!”

A celebration of life will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 27, at Faith Free Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions can be sent to Faith Free Lutheran Church, 405 Liberty Street, Kalispell, MT 59901.
