Eda Anders

| May 8, 2018 4:00 AM

Eda Anders passed away May 2, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Anders, her brother, Bud, and sister, Wilma.

She is survived by her sister, Lola.

She had 98 years of building memories all of which were in Columbia Falls. Their home welcomed to visitors with the smells of bouquets from her extensive garden and delectable meals followed by apple pie and cinnamon rolls. Few knew she developed her love of baseball when she was the only left-handed female pitcher in pre-war times in her league. Eda’s heart was also on the water. She was an avid fisher woman and was rarely bested. At home or with friends, Eda was a well-known card player. In the end, she taught us all it isn’t the cards you are dealt, but how you chose to play them.

Her extended family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren will remember her for her sense of humor and dedication to her family.

The family is planning a celebration of life this summer.

It is hard to forget someone who gave so much to remember.
