Intruder makes himself at home

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report a man had apparently entered his home through an unlocked door. The homeowner heard a “sniffle” and thought it was his son, but he found a man sitting in his chair with his shoes off. After repeatedly asking the intruder to leave, he finally did. The man believed he had previously lived there, but he had not. Police took the man to his home.

A person called to report a man was on the ground behind a pavilion and not moving. She said she honked her horn, but the ducks were also loud and he didn’t move. Police said the man was intoxicated, but OK.

Someone called to report two people were in an argument, one of whom allegedly had a knife. The person didn’t want to file charges because he is a friend, but he did want the knife returned.

A person called to report a man was concerned about his dog, who he had left in his truck. He told the person he won’t be getting out soon and was concerned about the animal. The dog was taken to the shelter, where it was soon adopted.

The dog was returned to her owner.

A woman called to report a teenager riding a small mini bike at a high rate of speed who was harassing her son. The speed demon told the boy “I’m going to run you over” and started chasing her son.

A call for a structure fire turned out to be heavy smoke coming from a backyard barbecue.

Someone called to report a man who allegedly tried to make his son fight the caller’s grandson.

A child’s accidental 911 call evoked a swift response from his mother, telling him “You don’t need to make a phone call!” An officer spoke with the mother and everything was fine.

A man called the Columbia Falls Police to ask if the department would take his photo and fingerprint him for a form he needs to fill out so he can put a stock on his short-barreled shot gun.

A person called to report a man who continues to ask her out is allegedly a registered sex offender. Police contacted his probation officer, who was going to tell him to stay away from the woman and her residence.

Someone called to report her mother was doing drugs. She had photos on her phone of the alleged incident. Police later separated the people.
