Peggy Jane Oskam, 91

Peggy Jane Oskam, 91, passed away on May 15, 2018, at her home in Kalispell surrounded by her family.

Peggy was born on June 30, 1926, in Wenatchee, Washington, to Glenn Leland Skelton and Maude E. Nelson.

Peggy married James “Bud” Oskam on Nov. 23, 1950, in Renton, Washington. They were married 58 years.

She was often known as the life of the party. Peggy worked as an elementary school assistant and flower/plant saleswomen. Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking, reading and doing puzzles. She was active in community activities such as Dosedux, VFW Auxiliary and VFW Cooties.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years James “Bud” Oskam, and son Robert “Bob” Tigner.

She is survived by her children, Melvina Tigner of Spokane, James “Jim” (Sheila) Tigner of Virginia, Philip (Chrissy) Oskam of Anacortes, Washington, William “Billy” (Donna) Oskam of Lilliwaup, Washington, Tracy Oskam and Patty Niclai of Lilliwaup, and Sherry (Bruce) Strand of Kalispell; brother, Mel Skelton, of Wenatchee; dear friend, Brenda Webber, of Kalispell; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at 111 Wettington Drive, Kalispell.

Memorials donations can be made to the charity of choice.

The family would like to give a special thanks to hospice.
