Legion baseball: Lakers AA crush Libby Loggers A

LIBBY — Logan Siblerud pitched a no-hitter and Jay Freudenburg had three hits and drove in four runs as the Kalispell Lakers AA thumped the Libby Loggers A 21-0 in American Legion baseball play on Wednesday evening.

Siblerud pitched six innings, striking out 14 and walking three batters in the game shortened by the run rule.

Jonathan Craver had four hits for Kalispell, which totaled 22 for the game.

AJ Jones homered.

Drew Scherrer, Freudenburg and Taylor Morton all blasted doubles.

Kalispell had 10 players with hits.

The Lakers had three big innings with seven runs in the second and six in both the fourth and fifth.

On Tuesday in Kalispell, the Lakers B used a seven-run third inning to blow by Libby at Griffin Field.

Mckade Schara went 3 for 3 for the Lakers and scored once.

Jack Corriveau, Danny Kernan, Ethan Diede and Jace Crabb had two hits each for Kalispell.

Diede, AJ Wood and Alex Skerlock doubled while Zach Cunningham tripled and drove in two runs.

Quade Anderson and Trey Thompson topped Libby at the plate, both going 2 for 3. Anderson doubled.

The Lakers AA (10-6 overall) host the Glacier Twins A on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the first game of a three-game Memorial Days Series. The two teams play Sunday at 7 p.m. in Whitefish and finish up Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Griffin Field.
