Two Stillwater Christian School juniors who won honorable mention in the Congressional Art Competition will have their artwork displayed in the offices of U.S. Rep. Greg Gianforte, R-Mont.

“Buffalo Bill,” an India ink and watercolor by Vincent Friel, will be displayed in Gianforte’s Washington D.C. office. “Look Up,” an acrylic painting by Cora Boll will be displayed in Gianforte’s office in Helena.

The Congressional Art Competition is an annual contest to recognize and encourage young artists in each congressional district.

Friel’s and Boll’s entries were among seven submissions from around Montana that received honorable mention. The state winner was a photograph by Bentley McCullough of Geraldine High School. His photograph will be on display in the U.S. Capitol for one year along with other artwork form around the nation.

Montanans assisted in the judging by voting for their favorites through social media.
