Apple watch cries wolf again

After an accidental 911 dial by an Apple watch, a man told a Flathead County Sheriff’s officer he was planning on taking up the issue with his cell phone provider. He said it was the second time in a week that his watch dialed on its own.

Someone called to report a group of teenage boys climbing trees and fences near the school. The person believed they took a frisbee from school property. One of the teens was turned over to the grandmother and counseled.

A man called to report someone driving recklessly on a loud 4-wheeler in a residential area.

A man called to complain about loud music being played at a construction site and that it was making him violent. The man said he would handle the situation himself by breaking the other person’s radio. An officer told the man he was not allowed to trespass or touch or break any of the equipment because the music upset him. The other man agreed to turn down the music.

An officer helped a female and her grandfather come to an agreement on where to meet so she could get her work clothes. The woman was emancipated in a court proceeding the day before.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Deparment to report a 2-year-old boy who had wandered outside at about 4 a.m. The person took the child to a store and he said “Mommy is gone.” After a store employee, who was a neighbor, made a phone call, the child’s aunt showed up to take the little boy home. When police located the aunt, she said the child had left the residence when everyone was sleeping.

A person called the Whitefish Police Department to report she may have a broken wrist. She said she already had a broken neck and back from injuries in the 1990s. She was concerned because she had a court appearance in the morning and didn’t know if she could make it. She was checked my medical staff at the hospital and was advised to make her court appearance.

Someone called to report their dog “Chief” missing. The shepherd cross is 8 years old, has an orange collar and is black and brown in color.

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report a man laying next to a building. When the caller yelled, he moved. An officer gave the man better options for napping areas.

A woman called to report she had videotape of her ex-boyfriend underneath her car. She later reported that there were zip ties attached to her drive train. She said harassment had been an issue since she and her boyfriend broke up. She was advised of how to obtain a restraining order. When an officer spoke to the ex-boyfriend, he allegedly admitted to putting the ties on the drive train. He said it was the first prank he had done, and wouldn’t do it anymore.

Someone called to report that a man, who had apparently been drinking heavily, fell and cut his head. When an officer responded, the man was headed back to bed.
