Power pole cat-astrophe averted
A person called the Kalispell Police Department to report a cat that had crawled up a power pole. The person called the Flathead Electric Cooperative and wanted it to turn off the power and get the feline down. The co-op was able to rescue the cat.
A man called to report that someone may have gotten into his vehicle. He thought he had locked it, but noticed later that the lights were on and the vehicle was running. He wasn’t sure if he had left it like that or if someone else did it.
A noisy yard sprinkler could be heard by a neighbor from inside with the doors and windows shut.
Someone called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report the possible tampering of mail. The person’s mail smelled of something such as turpentine. It turned out to be someone had sprayed a wasp nest at the mailboxes.
A deputy assisted an elderly couple that was having problems with their windshield wipers on U.S. 2.
A caller wanted a detective to investigate a Facebook page in the Flathead Valley where female moderators “bully” people.
A man who was allegedly punched in the face had blood all over himself. Apparently, the dispute was over a debt and a man was hitting on the other’s girlfriend. The person didn’t want to pursue charges, but he did ask that an officer talk to the alleged puncher.
A woman called the Whitefish Police Department because someone was trying to “charm her.”
Someone called to report that a shirtless, heavily tattooed man with a long beard was lying in the middle of Spokane Avenue. When the person turned around and went back, the man was gone.
A person called to report that she believes a woman made a fake Facebook profile and was saying hurtful things about her family on it. The person previously reported the woman for making threats to her.
Two baby birds fell out of a ceiling. The caller was given the number for “Bird Lady Rescue.”
