'Bizarre' gamer needs to quiet down
A Kalispell resident got a new neighbor who allegedly spent hours playing video games that had “very” loud sounds of “bombs and such.” The resident told dispatchers he attempted to contact the man weeks ago to quiet down, but it had not worked. The resident described the gamer to Flathead County Sheriff’s Office as “bizarre,” and although he couldn’t pinpoint why, said he just seemed “off.”
A Kila man reported his neighbor’s house had been broken into after seeing the gate reportedly run over and a basement window kicked in. The man said he also found a live bullet on the property.
Two injured and bleeding dogs showed up at someone’s Lenwood Lane residence in Kalispell before heading toward Woodland Park. The resident said the bottom of the dogs’ paws were “completely ripped off,” and it looked as if the blue and white pit bulls had been dragged by a car. The dogs were unable to be located by deputies.
Someone on Caroline Road in Kalispell called to report a man reportedly overdosing on heroin. Someone at the location allegedly gave the man an opioid antagonist (used to reverse effects of an overdose) and he “kind of” woke up. Medical crews were called and the hospital was apprised of the situation in case the man showed up.
Dispatchers had to disconnect a call with a Lakeside woman when she allegedly refused to accept a dispatcher’s response after requesting extra patrol for speeders on Blacktail Road. Dispatchers advised her it was a Montana Highway Patrol issue and she would need to speak to them. The woman continued to argue and said the sheriff’s office needed to handle the problem and wanted a deputy to call her to advise her of their jurisdiction. Dispatchers forwarded the phone call and extra patrol requests to deputies.
A Kalispell resident said a neighbor was harassing them by reportedly driving in front of their house and blasting the horn after receiving a citation for a barking dog. Officers advised the resident on how to obtain a restraining order, if needed.
A brown cow found new pastures on Clark Homestead Lane in Kalispell when it was reported on the loose.
Someone on U.S. 2 in Kalispell reported their vehicle vandalized while it was parked in a lot overnight. The person making the report said there was damage to the hood that looked like someone hit it with a hammer.
A man on First Street West in Kalispell reported being bitten by a dog, which broke the skin on his hand. The dog also ripped the man’s pants.
A Whitefish man returned to his residence to discover a saddle and a refrigerator stolen. The man had two suspects in mind.
Three people were allegedly smoking marijuana and panhandling in the company of a big white dog on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.
A property owner on Mallard Loop in Whitefish requested officers collect an “unspent” bullet found the premises. He also requested extra patrol.
An Olney resident reported seeing people use “flash bangs” in the vicinity of a wildlife refuge. The person said the subjects took off in a sedan when spotted.
