Orland 'Orly' P. Slama, 96

Orly passed away Nov. 14, 2018, at his daughter’s home in Tucson, Arizona.

He was born Oct. 10, 1922, in North Dakota to Victor and Eleanor Slama. Orly grew up in Kalispell and graduated Flathead County High School. After spending time in California and Alaska, he returned to Kalispell where he joined the Army Air Force during World War II. Orly worked at Hennessey’s Steak House where he met the love of his life, Harriet Chase Weydahl. Together, they established and operated Orly’s Supper Club during the 1960s and later managed the Elks restaurant. After moves to Billings and New Mexico, they settled in Tucson.

Orly was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet, and his stepson, Haakon Weydahl.

This humble, friendly and charming man will be greatly missed by his daughter, Roberta “Bobbi” Wright, and his stepson, Allan Weydahl; his granddaughters, Dilek Kidd, Sabra Boutari and Heidi Weydahl; his grandsons, Tony Weydahl, Tom Hansen, Nathan Weydahl and Haakon Jr. Weydahl; and his seven great-grandchildren.
