Frank John Aichelmann, 87

Frank John Aichelmann, 87, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2018 in Mesa, Arizona.

Frank was born in Newark, New Jersey to Frank and Ella Aichelmann. After serving in the Korean War, Frank was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps and began his life’s work with the Sheet Metal Workers Union.

In 1955, he married Evelyn Brown and they were blessed with four children. After retirement, they eventually settled in Polson where Frank especially enjoyed being in the beautiful mountains surrounding Flathead Lake. Winters found them snow birding to warmer climates until they permanently moved to Mesa, Arizona in 2017.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ella and infant daughter Mary Ann.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Evelyn Aichel-mann; four children and their families: Doreen (Cliff) Amundsen of Billings; Frank Aichel-mann of Carthage, Tennessee; Patty (Neal) Bouma of Choteau; Steven (Karen) Aichelmann of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his sister Elaine Cerrato of Budd Lake, New Jersey; nephews Mark and Louis and their families.

Cremation has taken place. A family gathering and memorial service will be held in Polson at a later date.
