Christmas Musical Celebration a seasonal favorite

| November 29, 2018 4:00 AM

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kalispell will host the Tenth Annual Multi-Denominational Community Christmas Musical Celebration Thursday, tonight, and Friday beginning at 6 p.m. both evenings.

The celebration has become an annual favorite, but this year, like last year, the nativity scenes will not be on display. The church committee is still in the process of deciding when to bring them back, but one option is to make it once every five years event. If that plan gets approved, the creches will be brought back to share with the community in 2022.

The concerts are both free and open to the public.

On Thursday performers include the Montana Chords Fermata Nowhere, the Valley Voices Community Choir, the Little Musicians, the St. Charles Women’s Choir, Andy Cummins, and the Bigfork Ward Choir.

On Friday the performers will be Joseph and Ann Creer, the Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre, the Columbia Falls Young Women’s Choir, the John Paul II Parish Choir and Wai Mizutani, Lauren Welch and Jia Jai Farr will wrap up the show.

The church is located at 1380 Whitefish Stage Road in Kalispell. For more information go to www.communitychristmasflathead.com.
