It's the people under the stairs

A suspicious noise heightened apprehensions for a resident. She said it sounded like a scratching sound coming from the garage. After investigating, it was determined it was the furnace.

A caller reported to the Whitefish Police Department that someone had hit several construction barrels and cones. She was worried that another driver might drive into the hole in the road.

Someone reported two men walked past her bedroom window between her house and garage. When she confronted them, they said they were with a property management company. When she called the company, she discovered that they were employees.

A man who prepared to go mountain biking said he discovered a tree that had been cut down and partially burned. There were also broken pieces of a wooden guard rail at the scene. Police said they would notify the city’s trails manager.

A man who said someone who had put a lock on his bike took matters into his own hands when he cut the lock off.

A person using a steam cleaner in the kitchen at an area business reportedly set off fire alarm in the hallway.

A person wanted to speak to an officer about getting his boat off the lake. He said there was a gate on the boat launch.

Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report loud music and kids screaming somewhere in the area, possibly near the high school. As it were, the noise had originated from a school function on the soccer field.

A store employee reported a young woman with a cut on her forehead that occurred after the woman had a fight with her boyfriend in Hungry Horse. The woman asked the employee to call the police, but after they arrived, she said she didn’t want to pursue charges.

A woman reportedly fell out of a speeding vehicle on the North Fork Road and broke her arm and possibly her hip. She was hanging out of the window when the vehicle swerved and she fell. She said she would go to the hospital after she dropped of her dog.
