Suspects sought in shooting death near Dixon

Law enforcement officials with the Sanders County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a suspect in an apparent homicide near Dixon over the weekend.

According to a media release from Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel, on Oct. 5, at 11:16 p.m., the Sanders County Dispatch Center received a 911 call stating that someone had been shot in Agency, which is outside of Dixon.

Sanders County deputies and a detective, along with Lake County deputies and tribal officers were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, law enforcement found William Conco Camel deceased at the scene.

Sanders County Sheriff’s Office said they have identified three people of interest, and their whereabouts were being sought Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office said there is not a threat to the public.
