Luke Justin Trefney

| October 10, 2018 4:00 AM

Luke Justin Trefney was only 4 days old when he passed away on Sunday, Sept. 31, 2018. Luke spent his final moments in the loving arms of his father and mother Tyler and Anelisa (Novak) Trefney at the Community Medical Center in Missoula.

This precious little boy was a miracle from the second he was born. Luke was born premature, at 26 weeks, and weighed about 10 ounces! Although he was young, he was full of personality and a strong zest for life. Luke fought hard for his life every day and never ceased to amaze his family and his nurses! Little Luke never spoke a word, but his strength told us all that we should never stop fighting, no matter how difficult our life gets. During his brief time with us, Luke touched the hearts of, and inspired the lives of many.

Luke is survived in life by his parents Tyler and Anelisa Trefney, and his grandparents Thomas and Susie Trefney, Chuck and Kim Mitsch, and Dale and Angela Novak, all of Kalispell; and lots of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home in Kalispell to commemorate the miraculous life of Luke Justin Trefney.

A special thanks to all of the doctors and nurses at the Community Medical Center in Missoula for never giving up on little Luke and caring for him and his parents from before his birth to after his death.
