Lola M. Jensen, 94

| October 12, 2018 4:00 AM

Lola M. Jensen passed away at Brendan House in Kalispell on Oct. 4, 2018.

She was born in 1924 to John and Hattie Jensen at the family home located near Columbia Falls at the base of Columbia Mountain. Lola and her siblings attended Bad Rock grade school and then Columbia Falls High School where she lived part time in the dormitory provided for rural students. After graduation she continued to live with her parents and did so the remainder of their lives. After they passed away she remained at the family home until a few years ago. Due to her age and health she moved to Timber Creek Assisted Living in Columbia Falls. She was a resident there until she passed away.

Lola never married nor had any children of her own. But, she was very much a part of her nieces and nephews lives. Sundays always were met with outdoor games, dinner and cards. Wednesday evenings offered more cards, popcorn, fudge and Lola’s cookies. We will all remember this time of year — she always invited us for Trick-or-Treat, cards and her famous popcorn balls.

For many years Lola was a mainstay at the Monday night card parties at the Senior Citizens Center in Columbia Falls. She had many friends there and looked forward to it as one of the highlights of her week. Visiting with old friends and playing cards!

She will be missed and always remembered with love. At her request, she will be laid to rest with her parents and siblings at Fairview Cemetery.
