Woman and her big dog asked to leave

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department to report a woman with a St. Bernard wouldn’t allow anyone to pass. She said the woman thought it was funny and that the dog owner had been told to leave the apartment complex on prior occasions. An officer arrived, cited the woman and made them leave.

A woman said her boyfriend took her vehicle last night to help another driver get gas and hadn’t returned. When she texted him, he said he became intoxicated and couldn’t drive. She said he had turned his phone off and she planned to come to the police station to file a stolen vehicle report. Later, she called to report she had found her vehicle.

A man reported seeing a toddler in a gray minivan next to where he had parked. He said the child had been left unattended for at least 10 minutes. One minute after he called, the child’s mother came out of the pedicure place and drove away.

A mother couldn’t control her 11-year-old daughter, who screamed, threw things and said she was going to hurt her mom. She called the child’s father, who lived nearby, to come get her. The matter was resolved when the girl went home with her dad.

A store employee said a customer told him two people were being intimate in a black truck that was parked outside.

A caller wasn’t sure if two people, one with a flashlight, were breaking into a vehicle or was the owner. An officer determined they were moving items out of their storage unit.

The manager of a fast-food restaurant said he had a $20 counterfeit bill and believed he knew the person who had passed the phony money.

A caller’s tip led to a man who was wanted in an adjacent county being arrested. Officials from the neighboring county said they wouldn’t take the man because Flathead County was 15 miles over the 120-mile extradition limit.

An inspection for a chicken coop was completed and a permit to have chickens was granted.

A caller said an injured deer needed dispatched, but when an officer arrived, it got up and ran away.

A woman called the Whitefish Police Departmemt because she thought her neighbors were possibly selling drugs because there were a lot of people coming and going from the apartment above her.

A man on a long board said a bear chased him on Second Street, but the bear ended its pursuit when he crossed the bridge. It disappeared from sight and wasn’t found by authorities.

A man said a woman made an obscene gesture at his 14-year-old child, but she was also upset that he had followed her during the incident.

A mother of two young children said a man threw a soda bottle at her and hit her with it. A daughter said her mother slapped her after she accused her of “sleeping around.” She also said her mother had been drinking. The girl’s father came to get his daughter and things settled down.
