Sweet tooth nearly results in charges

A man was reported to the Kalispell Police Department for stealing $2-3 worth of yogurt and toppings from a Kalispell business. The person who reported the incident said the man was under the influence, wore an orange hat and camo jacket. An officer detained the man but the store declined to press charges.

A woman who had her baby with her called after she said her ex-husband threatened to take the child away from her and then shoved a burger into her face. The child was fine and the man ended up leaving.

Someone reported a cashier had been drinking on her lunch break. The store manager said she wouldn’t leave, but when officers arrived she was taken home.

A female caller sounded drunk when she reached dispatch in Columbia Falls. She slurred her words when she said “she sells sea shells.” She said she was drunk, fell asleep and couldn’t get her phone out of emergency mode.

Someone reported his stepson had stolen things from his home.

He wasn’t ready to report the items yet, but he wanted law enforcement to know that he sneaks back and forth at night from the apartment.

A person called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report he saw his dad’s stolen vehicle at an area business. The vehicle had apparently been stolen from another business and no one knew about it until the other business called to report it.

A person called with a question about whether Montana was a “stand your ground” state in regard to a road-rage situation.

Someone reported a dump trunk left a construction company. Its bed wasn’t closed the entire way and it had dumped gravel along the road. The company was called so it could notify the driver. After he was contacted, he agreed to go back and clean up the mess.

A caller said there was a large bale of hay on the highway.

A woman said two neighborhood dogs killed some of her chickens. A neighbor said the dogs were gray Husky-type dogs, but she hasn’t seen them.

A man said he had been sexually harassed by a drunk female employee when she allegedly grabbed his jacket and kissed him on the lips. He reported that he got away from her and that management took her home. He said he was working with the human resources department in an attempt to resolve the matter.

A parent reported that her 10-year-old daughter had sent a man naked photos of herself after he asked for them when they talked on social media.

A man said someone stole his handgun while he was fueling his truck. The gun was a Taurus .41-caliber magnum revolver with aftermarket black grips and a stainless steel barrel.
