The Flathead County commissioners will hold a public hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, to consider a tax break for Glacier Precast Concrete.

The Kalispell business is seeking tax-reducing benefits for $112,474 worth of new equipment and improvements add to its current facility at 175 Alder Drive.

If the tax break is approved, the increased value will be taxed at 50 percent of its taxable value in the first five years after approval, then in each year thereafter the percentage will be increased by 10 percent until the full taxable value is attained in the 10th year.

The commissioners meet in their third-floor chamber of the main courthouse, 800 S. Main St. in Kalispell.
