Sheri P. Smith Brown Pierce, 66

Sheri P. Smith Brown Pierce, 66, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, in the care of Genesis in Whitefish.

Sheri was born Aug. 2, 1952, in Whitefish to Harry and Ethel Smith. Sheri was the seventh of 10 siblings. She went to Columbia Falls schools.

In 1970 she married Dennis Brown and lived in Whitefish where they had three children, Randy Brown (Yvonne) of Eureka, Rhonda Ameline (Scott) of Great Falls, and Ivy Redfield (Ron) of Bigfork. She had seven grandchildren, which she loved very much. Later, Sheri divorced and moved to California where she was top cook for the 49ers summer training camp. She married Wayne Pierce and stayed in California until Wayne passed away. Then she came to Montana, the home she loved. She was a life member of the VFW.

Sheri is survived by her children, grandchildren and one great-grandbaby, which she so sadly didn’t get to hug and hold; also sisters, Carol Dale (Elton) of Seattle, Patty McMurdo of Whitefish, Pam Brown (Doug) of Olney, Sandy Clark (Steve) of Colville, Washington, and Shelly Smith (Leonard) of Kalispell; and brothers, Harry Jim Smith (Peggy) of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and Mike Smith (Julie) of Salt Lake City.

Sheri was preceded in death by parents Harry and Ethel Smith, brothers Roger Smith and Don Smith, and lots of aunts, uncles and grandparents. She also leaves behind special friends, Boss Brousseau and Darcy Morris. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to VFW Post 276 Auxiliary, 20 Baker Ave., Whitefish, MT 59937.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the VFW in Whitefish.
