Rake-wielding panhandler argues over corner territory

Panhandlers were reportedly arguing over territory when someone told Kalispell Police Department that two men, on opposite sides of the street, were yelling at each other. One of the men, who had a rake and a sign that stated he would rake leaves to raise money, crossed the street and threatened the other man, yelling at him to go to another corner.

A man told police that someone had thrown what he thought might have been a heavy tool out of a house, which reportedly hit his son’s car as he was driving by, minimally damaging the passenger rear door. The man was unable to determine what hit the vehicle, where it occurred, or if it was intentional. He just wanted it documented for insurance purposes.

A parent brought their 5-year-old son to the police station because he wanted to meet an officer and Cairo the Kalispell Police K-9. The boy had missed an opportunity to meet the pair while he was in the hospital.

Someone was concerned about a woman who was seen hitchhiking by the hospital and still wearing a hospital bracelet.

Someone thought it was a case of road rage when a man allegedly got out of a white pickup truck and hit the window of a green pickup before both vehicles left in opposite directions.

Security at a casino told police that a man with neck tattoos was allegedly selling methamphetamine in the establishment.

A man with bleached hair and missing teeth was seen bolting out of a business through the emergency exit, setting of the alarm. An employee reported the man was with a woman and they were yelling and screaming at people in the parking lot. The employee was unsure if the pair took anything.

A man reported an abandoned vehicle with the steering column torn apart and thought it may have been hot-wired. He said he talked to a woman who claimed she bought the car as a project. Everything appeared OK when the vehicle didn’t come up in a list of stolen vehicles.

Someone was highly suspicious of two men who were reportedly in some bushes and another man was standing by a pickup near an auto parts store. The men were allegedly pulling something out of the bushes and putting it on the back of the truck. The men were gone by the time officers arrived.

A man said his girlfriend was being “crazy” and “vindictive” by yelling and cussing at him. The man said he was sitting in his car and was worried she was going to make false accusations about him again noting that she reportedly had him arrested in the past for assault. The man said he justed wanted to go to bed, but she kept threatening to have him arrested if he kept talking. When officers arrived to the scene, both parties said they wanted to stay at the residence and would go to bed.

A woman retreated to her bedroom when a man with a head wound reportedly came into her living room, talked to her, bothered her and then started throwing things around.

A man called police to report a fight and said he heard someone say “get off me” and a woman screaming. The caller began yelling at the group to “knock it off” and started cussing when the line disconnected. He called back to advise dispatchers he wanted to remain anonymous, was very intoxicated and needed to go to bed so he could work in the morning. Officers contacted the homeowner of the residence where the fight was happening and they claimed their boyfriend brought home an unwanted guest who had left.

A bed-ridden resident reported someone, possibly their daughter, had entered their house and went upstairs, stealing a bunch of canned goods and frozen products.

Someone reported stalking and harassment when someone purportedly made vulgar gestures and refused to stop at the person’s request.

A woman was trying to register a vehicle reported stolen by a dealership in Washington. Officers spoke with the dealership that said it would clear it up. The woman was probably not enthused to have to return to try and register the vehicle again.
