Keep the letters policy the same

First of all, let me say, what a week the valley has had. It has been quite a long time since I have seen such an uproar over opinions by various people in the valley. But it does show, we have a very diverse community in our small part of the world!

There have been letters written both for and the against the gay lifestyle. Neither side is right nor wrong. I am not a gay, nor am I a condemnation Christian. I live under the umbrella of “if it don’t touch my life, then let it be.” I am not religious nor am I alternative.

Now I see the paper is re-evaluating its policies because both sides have taken offense to a couple of free speech advocates deciding to express their opinions. I do hope the Inter Lake maintains its position that it has followed for so long — Even if I don’t agree, I am going to print it.

Condemnation is one thing and both sides are now condemning each other! This because each side has its point of view. I don’t like the religious points of view anymore than I like the other point of view stating religion is a myth.

You don’t have to agree with a point of view, but you must understand all individuals have the right to their point of view. Each person has their own morals, as morals are a personal choice, not a written law and sometimes you are not going to agree with another point of view, but they have the right to voice it.

Stick with the policy you have always followed and allow all points of view in the conversation.
