Paul D. Wood, 62

Paul D. Wood passed away Sept. 2, 2018, after a courageous fight with jungle ulcers on his legs that cost him his right leg two years ago and ultimately his life. He was surrounded by family.

Paul was born Dec. 3, 1955, in Kalispell to Bob and Jeanne Wood, the sixth of nine siblings. He was raised in the Lower Valley, attending Hodgson School and Flathead High School. At age 17 he enlisted in the Marines and was honorably discharged at the end of his enlistment.

He worked as a truck driver most of his life, working for various companies.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and sister Julie.

He is survived by seven siblings, Cathy Malkuch (Gary), Terry Barnhart, Linda Dale, Patricia Baker (Terry), Tom Wood, Barbara Samsel (Fred), and Ken Wood (Cindy); also many nieces and nephews.

We love you, Paul. Rest in peace.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in the Veterans Area of C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow.
