Anna Marie Troupe, 80

On September 13, 2018, Anne, 80, passed away while surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, Mass., on Dec. 7, 1937, Anne became the second child of Anna and William H. Kane. Anne’s family moved to San Diego in 1952 where she enrolled herself into Our Lady Of Peace Academy. She built many friendships during school and was always hamming it up in any school production and singing in Glee club. Anne was an excellent student and a friend to everybody she met.

In 1957, Anne studied nursing with the Sisters of Mercy at Mercy Hospital. She loved nursing and had a passion for assisting in the operating room and “catching babies” in the delivery room.

In 1962, Anne met and fell in love with Claude (Ray) Troupe. They were married on June 20, 1964. In 1971, Anne and Ray moved to Kalispell where they raised their family.

Anne loved her nursing job at Glacier Ear Nose and Throat and at the Surgical Center. She would always sing to her patients! Anne was an avid sports fan. She spent hours watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports. She loved geography, history, coin collecting, singing, and was the reigning Scrabble champion. Anne loved to cook and was known as an incredible chef and hostess. She was particularly proud of her Irish heritage and brought a smile to everybody she met with her hilarious jokes and witty humor.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and William Kane and her daughter Debra Hawks. She is survived by her adoring husband, Ray, and children Terri (Bob) Temple, Denise Frankino, Chris (Jennifer) Troupe, Suzanne Troupe and Daniel Troupe, Grandchildren: Anna Richards, Jenna Frankino, Katie Merit, Laura Weber, James Temple, Tucker and Saeyde Troupe, Joey and Jami Jantski, Ridge, Cade and Sawyer Troupe, Peyton Richards and Sara Nelson as well as her brother, William H. Kane of San Diego, Calif.

Viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, 525 S. Main St. in Kalispell. The Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. at the funeral home following the viewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 602 S. Main St. in Kalispell. Rite of Christian Burial will immediately follow mass at C. E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell with a reception to follow at a location that will be announced.
