Aleeya Derlatka netted a shot at 75 minutes to help Stillwater Christian tie Bonners Ferry, Idaho, 1-1 in nonconference girls soccer play on Tuesday at Stillwater Christian.

Stillwater had plenty of scoring opportunities with 19 shots on goal to just four for the Badgers.

Stillwater also led in corner kicks, 7-0.

“I was real proud of our girls not giving up after the goal in the 56th minute tonight,” Stillwater coach JR Hemp said.

“They kept playing hard and evened up the score with a shot from Aleeya Derlatka from outside the 18.

“Our midfield really struggled today to control the ball,” he continued.

“We had outstanding defensive play by Jascah Vann and Marae Tintzman. We had several great shots in both halves that went just wide of the goal, or bounced off the cross bar.”

Stillwater (4-2-1 overall) plays the Whitefish JV at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at Smith Fields in Whitefish.
