Fight over doo-doo ends with handshake

An onlooker called Columbia Falls Police over two neighbors who allegedly tried to physically fight over their dogs pooping on each other’s lawns. The argument ended with both parties shaking hands and parting on good terms.

A squirrel caused a power outage on Nucleus Avenue after it ]blew a transformer. The transformer was sparking and flaming, according to a witness, but when utility workers responded, the fire was out.

Someone reportedly attempted to siphon a woman’s gas out of her vehicle on Cedar Pointe Loop. The woman’s father reported finding a hose, gas can and broken gas cap next to her vehicle and wanted an officer to come pick the items up.

A casino employee requested police presence at the casino, where they allegedly witnessed “drug dealer activity.” The caller told dispatch they didn’t want officers to tell them to leave and just wanted their presence to “make them scatter.”

A teenager was reported for allegedly throwing a coin at someone’s vehicle. When confronted the teen reportedly ignored the driver and kept walking into a store. The driver claimed the teen had been smoking pot with friends in a vehicle nearby. Officers responded and cited three teens for minor in possession and turned them over to their guardians.

According to a Kalispell Police report, a manager reported a cluster of around 40 cars parked near their bank and requested an officer come by to break it up. A responding officer believed the cars in question were part of a funeral procession for a fireman. By the time another officer was able to respond, most of the cars had moved along.

A woman reportedly showed up at the police station to claim a found purse. When someone returned to give the purse back, the woman had reportedly left before claiming it. The purse went back into safekeeping to await her return.

A woman reportedly attempted to leave a store with a cart full of groceries, none of which were bagged. When confronted the woman went back into the store for a cashier to ring her up and gave the employee a food stamp card. The woman allegedly then got angry and left without her card.

A grocery store employee reported an unknown man with an Irish accent for allegedly calling her at work. The man allegedly started calling the woman beautiful and making unwanted comments toward her.
