Lucy A. Rude, 80

Lucy Ann Rude was born on Oct. 13, 1937, to Orrin and Elsie Frost in Eureka.

She passed away Sept. 24, 2018, in Kalispell.

She grew up in the Tobacco Valley surrounded by seven siblings. She graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1955.

Lucy married Robert K. Hibbert in 1955 and they were blessed with four children. They were later divorced.

Lucy met and married the love of her life, Lawrence Oliver Rude, on Dec. 30, 1972. They happily raised their family and enjoyed many memorable times with their grandchildren. They celebrated 25 years of marriage before his death on June 4, 1997.

Lucy was an avid quilter, winning many blue ribbons from quilt shows and county fairs.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Claude) Kaber, Jeff (Tawnee) Hibbert, Bobbi (Marty) Bewley, and Larry (Char-mayne) Hibbert; as well as 14 grandchildren, Tyler , Justin, Tony and Troy Kaber, Niki, Derek and Kari Hibbert, Ryan Keltz, Taylor, Andrew and Lucas Bewley, and Alex, Nelly and Michelle Hibbert; along with 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Johnson-Gloschat funeral home Monday, Oct. 1, from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Kalispell. Graveside burial will be held immediately following at Glacier Memorial Cemetery.
