Gregory O. Sweetser, 70

Gregory O. Sweetser, 69, passed away April 4, 2019, in Greybull, Wyoming, at home following a three-year battle with colon cancer, with his family and loving wife Rory at his side.

Gregory was born May 22, 1949, in Missoula to Jay W. and Rose (Val) Sweetser. He graduated from Helena High School, and worked at Howard’s Pizza during high school. Every job he had after that he worked his way up in the company.

Gregory was employed for 36 years with Wyo-Ben, a bentonite company serving Montana and Wyoming. He was a mining superintendent, and in 2010 Wyo-Ben received the BLM Hardrock Mineral Environmental Award.

He was a hardworking, loyal and generous man.

Gregory is preceded in death by his father, Jay W. Sweetser.

He is survived by his wife Rory, and was a loving father to Rory’s children; his mother, Rose (Val) Sweetser; sisters Linda (Bob) Heffernan, Valerie Diane Sweetser, and brother Charles E. Sweetser, all of Kalispell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are pending in Wyoming.
