Catherine Mae Evans, 73

Catherine Mae Evans, formerly of Kalispell, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2019, due to natural causes.

Catherine was born on April 5, 1945, in Glendale, California to Andrew and Cecilia (Buell) Anderson. She was raised in Sunburst and attended North Toole County High School, graduating in 1963. On July 14, 1963, Catherine Mae Anderson married Stanley Evans in Shelby. The couple had three children, Andrew “Drew,” Stanley “Duane,” and Benjamin “James.”

Through Stanley’s work the couple traveled, most notably to Angola and Egypt. Catherine enjoyed playing bingo and on the computer. She crocheted and sewed afghans and dresses for the grandchildren, and also sewed potato bags. Catherine loved spending time with family and her Pomeranians; time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the most coveted.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, Andrew; grandson, Gary Weller; parents, Andrew and Cecilia; and sister, Barbara Kimmet.

Catherine is survived by her sons, Stanley Duane Evans of Great Falls and Benjamin James (Kay) Evans of Havre; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Thomas and Daniel Anderson of Columbia Falls and Andrew Anderson of Williston, North Dakota.

Cremation has taken place and services are pending.
