Glacier got the better of Flathead in both games of a Western AA crosstown softball doubleheader on Tuesday at Kidsports Complex.

“We’re pretty excited with the outcome of the games,” Glacier coach Abby Connolly said.

“We made a couple of lineup changes, and we were pleased with the offense’s performance.”

Glacier scored 19 runs in the first game, along with 15 hits, to beat the Bravettes 19-0. Pitcher Sage Vanterpool struck out all of Flathead’s batters.

Glacier’s Sammie Labrum hit a double and a triple, and had one RBI. Kynzie Mohl had a game-high six RBIs.

The Wolfpack won the second game 23-1, with Mohl striking out all but two Flathead batters.

Sophie Smith and Jennifer Wallace each had four hits for Glacier.

“They hit the ball really well and their pitchers pitched really well,” Flathead coach Jack Foster said of the Wolfpack.

Flathead hosts Missoula Sentinel and Missoula Big Sky at Kidsports Complex on Thursday and travels to Missoula Hellgate on Saturday.

Glacier host Big Sky and Sentinel on Thursday and Hellgate on Friday.

COLUMBIA FALLS — Savvy Ellis struck out eight batters and catcher Graceann Sevesind belted a three-run homer in the fourth inning as Columbia Falls beat Libby in Northwest A play.

It was the home opener for Columbia Falls (1-3 overall, 1-1 league).

Ellis is now 1-1 on the season in the circle.

Emily Carvey homered for Libby in the third inning, a solo shot.

Columbia Falls continues with league play on Thursday at Polson.

Libby has a league game Saturday at home with Ronan.
