The Flathead Bravettes dropped a pair of Western AA softball games against the Helena High Bengals and Helena Capital Bruins on Saturday at Kidsports Complex.

First shut out 12-0 by Capital, Flathead (2-12 overall, 2-2 conference) scored three runs in a 10-3 loss to Helena later in the day.

After a pitcher was injured after being hit by a ball in the first game against Capital, Ilyssa Centner had to step in the circle for both games.

“She hadn’t done that all year,” Flathead coach Jack Foster said. “She came in and did a great job.”

Centner hit 2 for 3 at the plate and doubled against Helena.

“Even as cold as it was, they kept working hard,” Foster said. “They’re hanging together really hard and they keep working.”
