Road rage: sledgehammer vs. baseball bat

There was more road rage in the Flathead Valley, with an incident reported between a heavily tattooed man with a sledgehammer and another driver with a baseball bat. The disputing drivers apparently went their separate ways, according to the Kalispell Police Department.

A man tried to “coax” a female employee to the back of his vehicle, “saying he had a puppy.” The Kalispell Police Department investigated and warned the man about his inappropriate comments.

A pool patron called the police and asked for “undercover officers” to check out a man who was “acting strange” toward a child. The man and child appeared to have come to the pool together, and it was later reported there was “nothing amiss at the pool.”

A different pool patron reported some individuals who were “making people uncomfortable.” This caller claimed the suspicious persons were overheard talking about going through people’s bags.

The police answered a Canadian caller’s questions about traffic laws.

A caller reported a dog that “appeared…in distress” and was panting in a vehicle. It turned out the dog had “ice to munch on” and was “not in distress at all.”

A man who is supposedly an officer for the Marine Corps in San Diego told Kalispell Police there was a threat against the recruiting office. The recruiting office was closed as a precaution.

A caller reported a “beagle at large.” The suspect canine was allegedly a “problem dog.” The dog was eventually returned to its home.

A man was apparently aggressive, angry and yelling because there were “bicycles chained up.”

A different person allegedly vandalized the baby cart that a woman carries behind her bike. She suspected her landlord had kicked it.

Someone called to complain about “cars coming and going” on a road.

A truck was spotted driving northbound and losing items on the highway.
