| August 17, 2019 8:13 PM

On Aug. 3, 2019, Lucille E. Nelson, 92, went home to be with the Lord and her many friends and descendants. Lucy was surrounded by her loving family as she passed.

Lucille Elizabeth Dunham was born on Oct. 14, 1926, in Oilmont. She was a striking girl with beautiful auburn hair. Lucy married Leonard Doran and worked with him for many years in Shelby in an accounting, insurance and real estate business. After a divorce she and her four children moved to Kalispell in 1963 where she owned and operated the Fernwell Apartments. She worked for accountant Austin Miller, was the office manager for Manions Auto, Pontiac and International Trucks and was a legal secretary for her son, Gary.

She met and married her beloved Jacob Nelson and enjoyed many years of golfing, dancing and traveling until his death in 2002. During her life she was a beautiful and wonderful mother and loving wife. She was known for her kindness, her sweet disposition and great sense of humor by all. Over the years she suffered the loss of many of her close friends.

Lucy was a great woman, a loving and kind soul and is sure to be welcomed in heaven by the Lord. Her life was a living example of Bible verse, Eph-esians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Lucy is survived by her brother Neil and wife Karen Dunham; and her children, Gary Doran, Paul Doran, Debra Mills and husband Tim Norton, and daughter-in-law Diane Doran; grandchildren, Tayvia Doran, Mark Doran, Garrick Doran, Teisha Hackett, Ryan Doran, Shanise Doran, Cory Mills, Kasey and John Vandekop, Andrew and Tiffany Norton, Cali Norton, Sina Mills, Stacey Linder, Evan Gardner and 10 great-grandkids.

Her brother Leonard Dunham, her son Rick Doran, and grandson Christopher all pre-deceased her.

We will greatly miss you, Mom and Grandma. We love you very much. Please join us celebrating her life at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 21, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 S. Main St., Kalispell.
