Wrong button pushed for cellphone help

A woman hung up after calling 911. When dispatchers called back, she said she didn’t have an emergency and purportedly thought a sliding button on her cellphone that read “Emergency SOS” meant getting help for her phone.

A woman told the Kalispell Police Department someone grabbed her arm, pushed her into a corner and hit her in the chest while she was washing dishes. She said it was a house where several people rent rooms.

A woman alleged a fellow renter was screaming at her, yelling at her husband, slamming doors and cupboards and scaring her children. She reportedly applied for a temporary restraining order, but a judge hadn’t ruled on it yet.

Someone on U.S. 2 in Kalispell told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about seeing a man who was wearing underwear on the outside of his shorts. He was walking around saying he had “explosive devices for bears on him.”

A woman calling from Woodland Park Drive in Kalispell alleged a man pulled a gun on her friend and had choked her earlier.

Someone calling from Haven Drive in Kalispell reported at least six vehicles in the neighborhood had been rifled through and the caller reportedly found an abandoned truck partially in the road that contained a backpack and miscellaneous items they thought might be stolen.

Someone found a huge dent on the roof of a work van and the windshield broken on U.S. 2 in Kalispell.

A business owner on Montana 83 in Bigfork purportedly was concerned that bats were flying around the area in the middle of the day. They were advised there wasn’t anything animal control could do, but she could call a pest control company “to take care of the bat problem.” She was warned not to come in contact with them in the meantime.

A woman calling from Mountain Drive in Hungry Horse complained about a dog that came into her yard “every day for awhile,” so she went looking for the dog to get a picture of it. Some teens reportedly then came over asking where the dog was, then “slapped the plants around” on her front porch. She said it was an ongoing issue, that she’s called multiple times, but “deputies don’t do nothing.”

A woman calling from Electric Avenue in Bigfork claimed she was gone over the weekend and a business partner took $24,000 worth of CBD oils from a location where the product was stored. She alleged she contacted the partner asking for the items to be returned, but “it won’t happen.” She was advised the incident would be a civil issue since they were business partners.

Someone on Parker Hill Road in Columbia Falls was suspicious of two couples who parked their motorhome in the area of an intersection, then purportedly settled in by setting up a laundry line, barbecue and cooler. The person wanted officers to tell them to move along because they supposedly had been there for four or five days and “looked rough,” like possible drug users.
