Customer 'freaked out' by purple bike
The Kalispell Police Department received a report that a man rode up to a grocery store on a purple bicycle carrying an empty backpack and wearing what might have been a “blue holiday beanie.” A customer felt “freaked out” by this individual and reported he had “run into a lot of these types of people in California.” He suspected the bike-riding man might go into the bathroom and “shoot up drugs,” so he asked an officer to check on him.
A female shoplifter was apparently also acting “noncompliant” when store employees tried to stop her from shoplifting. She reportedly “ran away.”
A man was seen in a store parking lot with “a quiver of bows and a very large bow.” He apparently “completed his shopping and left” and employees in the store were satisfied.
Someone called the police and continually asked them if the time had changed. He refused to tell them where he was and hung up.
Someone told the police she had been receiving multiple suspicious messages from blocked numbers, but the mysterious caller had not left a callback number.
Someone called the police because she was suspicious about a truck in her neighborhood. She noticed the truck had stopped in multiple driveways and saw a person get out of the vehicle. A police officer investigated and learned the suspicious individuals were dropping off Black Friday advertisements in the area.
Someone heard “some kids in the park screaming and hollering,” but then it was “all quiet there.”
A concerned citizen asked the police to check on a vehicle because he was worried about someone sleeping in it, but when an officer checked the car was unoccupied.
A homeowner saw three or four people running around with flashlights in the alley near his house.
An elderly woman locked herself out of her house and people nearby were worried about her being out in the cold. Some of the woman’s friends made sure she had a warm place to stay.
A woman claimed she was threatened by a security guard at a retail store before she was removed from the store. She added the guard who removed her had been “extremely rude.”
A minor attempted to steal beer, then took off running. The person who reported him was unsure if he wanted to pursue the issue.
Someone received a counterfeit $100 bill and the KPD collected it.
A car seat and vehicle registration were stolen from an unlocked car.
