Police check on suspicious sneaks

Kalispell Police Department received a phone call from a business owner on North Meridian Road who wanted an officer to drive through the area periodically because three men who purportedly didn’t look like “upstanding citizens” walked by at random times checking doors.

Someone checking hotel rooms reportedly heard loud music and asked a man to turn it down when he became belligerent and called her “bad names.”

A man allegedly called police to report that “a mom kind of tried to pimp out her daughter,” after the mother asked him if he had money to be with the younger woman who he thought appeared to be in her teens and was concerned about her welfare.

A report of a gas odor was traced to holes drilled in a gas tank.

A woman was reportedly counseled by Flathead County Sheriff’s Office about running from officers on U.S. 93 in Kalispell.

People were allegedly being disorderly on Ben Williams Lane in Lakeside. Someone claimed that another person told them a man pulled a gun on him, but a woman alleged there wasn’t a gun, alleging the only disturbance was that one of the people involved threw her across the room.

A Cottonwood Drive resident in Kalispell reportedly saw someone getting into their neighbor’s truck and then ran across the street. The resident reported a purse and other items had been stolen from their vehicle too. Officers made contact with someone on a bike.

Someone on River Place in Kalispell reported their unlocked vehicle was broken into and a GPS unit and a school backpack were missing.

Someone on Trailridge Road in Kalispell reported their unlocked vehicle was broken into and a watch was stolen, but a neighbor’s laptop bag containing business cards was left behind.

A possibly intoxicated man draped in blankets was seen stumbling and walking in the roadway on U.S. 93 in Somers.

Someone was reportedly caught on tape unsuccessfully trying to get into a vehicle on Parkside Drive in Kalispell.

A brick was reportedly thrown through the window of a business on Montana 35 in Bigfork, breaking it.

Someone on Ranchview Drive in Kalispell allegedly noticed two men on foot were checking car door handles and then got into an SUV. The pair also reportedly walked up to an open garage. Officers made contact with a vehicle on Columbia Lane containing two men who may have had outstanding warrants, but didn’t see any belongings described in earlier reports.

An Arbour Drive resident in Kalispell told deputies she found a bunch of mail between her door and screen door that was not addressed to her.

A later call came in from someone on Arbour Drive who said three months ago their mail was stolen and requested extra patrol because there was another incident of mail being scattered down the roadway recently, a neighbor’s car was recently broken into.
