Linda Rae (Kienas) Larson, 69

| December 25, 2019 4:00 AM

Linda Rae (Kienas) Larson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones at her home in Kalispell on Dec. 21, 2019.

Linda was born to Alice and Edward Kienas in Wallace, Idaho, on Aug. 6, 1950, and the world would never be the same again. Linda shared a life with six siblings; brothers Art, Bud, Kenny and Robert and sisters Cherris and Rosalie. At the age of 2 Linda and family moved to Kalispell, where she would create a life for herself.

At the age of 15 Linda met the love of her life, Calvin Larson, and they dated all through high school. On July 11, 1970, in a simple backyard wedding, she and Calvin said their I do’s. With this union Linda gained an enormous family and the best in-laws a girl could have ever asked for (Leroy and Thelma Larson).

It was a short two years later that Calvin and Linda welcomed their first child into this world. On Dec. 2, 1972, Jeff arrived. Then on May 12, 1976, their daughter Cami was born. Chasing these two hellions around would keep Linda and Calvin busy for many years to come.

Linda was preceded in death by both her parents, Edward and Alice; her husband, Calvin; her in-laws, Leroy and Thelma; and brothers, Art, Bud, Robert and Kenny, as well as sister Rosalie.

She is survived by her children, Jeff and his spouse Susie, and Cami and her boyfriend Garrett; grandchildren, Keyawna and Ryder Larson and Melissa Nye; and great-grandchildren, Emery and Adalynn. Also surviving Linda is her sister Cherris Collier (Bill); sisters-in-law, Debbie (Greg) Mellum, and Charlotte (Jim) Wendt; and brother-in-law, Mike Larson; as well as too many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones to count — unless we took out a full-page ad in the newspaper.

Linda may be gone from this earth but never from the memories of her family.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Glacier Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to invite all of you to her celebration of life at the Moose Lodge, 5125 Hwy. 2 East on Saturday the 28th of December from 3 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to one of the many charitable causes organized by the Moose Lodge.
