Pregnant driver called off car chase

A pregnant woman complained to the Kalispell Police Department about a driver who ran a red light and then nearly hit her car. She decided to follow the reckless driver after almost being hit by the vehicle, but the KPD advised her not to follow the driver.

A Washington woman who came to Kalispell to stay with her family called the police after her family asked her not to stay with them. She asked the dispatcher “are you there?” multiple times and then hung up.

A neighbor thought he heard a woman “hysterically screaming.” The source of the noise turned out to be a large family gathering, not a fight, and the people promised to keep their volume down.

A woman called the police to remove her nephew, who was known to carry multiple knives, from her residence. The relatives apparently had gotten into a disagreement about the nephew cleaning up his possessions and he “swatted at her.”

Someone was concerned about a man who came into a location wearing a green jacket, carrying a bicycle seat and “rambling.” He was apparently walking around continually and “not making sense,” so the woman who called about him asked the police to check on him.

Someone recorded a video of an alleged unsuccessful attempt to break into his vehicle.

A hotel employee asked for assistance with evicting an older man. The uncooperative man warned he was a member of the military and had “some sort of concealed weapons.” The man apparently stole papers from the hotel front desk that had guest information and also demanded a book from the front desk that they didn’t have.

Someone called about a loose concrete slab in a road. The slab apparently belongs to the state, which had been contacted about the issue earlier.

A man went into a bathroom and stayed there for over an hour. He was eventually taken to be evaluated at a hospital.

Someone gave a cup of coffee to a person who appeared to be homeless, and then another person called the police to check on a person he saw lying outside with a coffee cup.

A woman complained about a dog running loose and “bark[ing] a lot,” but she wanted to remain anonymous about the complaint.
