No. 25920 INVITATION TO BID Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Flathead County, Montana, will receive sealed bids for construction of: Flathead County Salt/Sand Storage Shed All sealed bids, plainly marked "SEALED BID - FLATHEAD COUNTY SALT/SAND STORAGE SHED" must be in the hands of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, 800 South Main, Room 302, Kalispell, MT, 59901 on or before 8:45 a.m., local time, February 19th, 2019. Bids will be opened and read on February 19th, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., local time, in the Commissioners' Chambers, located on the third floor of the County Courthouse. The proposed work consists of the construction of two (2) separate, but identical, single-story buildings for Salt/Sand Storage at the Old Steel Bridge Pit in Flathead County. Each building will be 50' wide x 110' long and will have 12'0" high exposed concrete walls with 9'0" tall conventional wood framed (2"x8") walls and conventional premanufactured metal plated wood trusses with stainless steel connectors. The additive alternative work consists of preparing surfaces and applying Baracade Silane 40 IPA to the concrete walls and floors. All Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file with the Flathead County Road & Bridge Department, 1249 Willow Glen Drive, Kalispell, Montana, (406) 758-5790 and at the office of Robert Peccia & Associates, 102 Cooperative Way, Suite 300, Kalispell, Montana; (406) 752-5025. Copies of the Contract Documents for use in preparing Bids may be obtained from Robert Peccia & Associates at the address stipulated above upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 for each set of documents, including drawings. Bids will be received on a price basis as described in the Contract Documents. Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. Within 10 calendar days after the Notice of Award, the successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. The bonds will each be equal to 100 percent of the contract amount. Work at the site is to commence within 10 calendar days after the written Notice to Proceed is issued. The position will be up for election in May, 2020, and will then be filled according to applicable state law. No. 25948 The Town of Eureka has received notice of the award of Community Development Block Grant funds from the Montana Department of Commerce. The Town will soon commence implementation of a Wastewater Phase 1B Expansion and Improvement project. CDBG regulations governing the grant require that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG assisted project will be extended to local lower-income residents. Further, to the greatest extent feasible, business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area will be utilized. The Town of Eureka is seeking qualified bids from licensed and insured contractors to assist landowners in the abandonment of septic tank(s) and connection from the existing sanitary sewer stub-out located at the property line to a point of connection between the housing unit(s) and the existing septic tank(s), as related to the Wastewater Phase 1B Project. This project is in the area referred to as Midvale within the Town of Eureka. The Town is seeking qualified contractors to create a contractor pool for landowners to select from. The Town has two funding programs available for those within the project area to make the physical connection to the wastewater system during the construction as planned for summer of 2019. Contractors that are procured through this process will be listed as Town approved contractors on the landowners' applications for the direct assistance programs. The work will include: Assisting Landowners (they will contact you) to complete the application for assistance An outline of the proposed work including a rough schematic of the property A fixed bid for the work to be completed The assistance to the landowners is expected to be part of the contractor's responsibility and is not a reimbursable activity from the Town. If the landowner is approved, complete the abandonment of septic tank(s) and connection/service lines to the stub-out and connection point. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 8th, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Town Hall, 11 Dewey Avenue. This pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but highly recommended for all who are interested to fully understand the goals and objectives of the Town and how the contractor pool will work with the engineer and main project contractor throughout construction.
