Neighborly gesture not appreciated

A Columbia Falls resident was upset that a neighbor was plowing his driveway. He reportedly told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office the neighbor was a methamphetamine user and didn’t want them anywhere near the property and noted they had been warned about trespassing before.

A man on U.S. 93 in Whitefish allegedly tried to choke a woman, threw her around the house and kicked in the door of her vehicle before leaving. The man purportedly had messaged her wanting “some stuff he gave her,” possibly being marijuana pipes.

A parent on U.S. 35 in Bigfork called to report her 16-year-old daughter’s 18-year-old boyfriend allegedly “flipped out” on her, threatened her and wanted her to return some items that were gifts. The parent was concerned what he would do as far as retribution against her daughter.

Someone wanted to know if it was legal for someone to get free puppies that weren’t vaccinated and sell them for a profit.

A Bigfork teen reportedly threatened to slit someone’s neck over a stolen cellphone from a deceased relative that she had been running up charges on. The youth was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

An allegedly intoxicated driver on U.S. 2 in Coram hit parked cars while trying to leave a parking lot when his car died.

A call came in from Morning View Drive in Kalispell about people yelling at each other. A woman allegedly said her bosses and landlords were kicking her husband and her out of their house over “money owed.” The woman supposedly just wanted to get her things out of the house and they were refusing to let her in. Deputies advised everyone of their warrants.

Someone on Marken Loop in Bigfork supposedly heard intermittent semi-automatic gunfire.

A man on Whitefish Stage Road in Kalispell attempted to have cable installed when he discovered someone else had cable in his name and wanted to report the alleged fraud.

A customer on U.S. 2 in Kalispell allegedly tried to steal a magnetic device off a register.

A woman on Baker Avenue wanted to let Whitefish Police Department know she was leaving someone at home and reportedly said “I just hope he doesn’t burn the house down,” and alleged he was “going off the rails,” and she couldn’t handle it, so she went for a walk.

Someone was concerned about the welfare of transient who appeared to be in “bad shape,” due to the weather. Police were cautioned that the man had a history of leaving strange letters with his thumb-print on them at businesses around town and had been warned about trespassing at the post office.

A Colorado Avenue apartment dweller reported smelling a very strong marijuana odor coming through heat vents. Police made contact with a man and woman who reportedly denied smoking weed, however police could smell a marijuana odor coming from inside the apartment. The person who called in the report was advised to notify the apartment manager.
