Find the Blacktail Gnome during Ski Patrol fundraiser

| February 13, 2019 4:00 AM

The annual Blacktail Mountain Ski Patrol fundraiser will take place Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 18, featuring a fun-filled day of games, food, costumes and raffle prizes.

Slip into your favorite ’80s costume to compete for prizes for the best dressed retro-ski bunnies and skiers/snowboarders.

Register with ski patrol for the poker run starting at 10:30 a.m. for $15 and collect your hand by visiting stations set up across the Blacktail slopes. Your registration fee awards you raffle tickets and the opportunity to play games at each station and win additional raffle tickets.

A bratwurst and beer barbecue will be available, with donations accepted.

According to legend, once a year the Blacktail Gnome crawls up from the interior of the earth and hides upon the slopes in hope that someone will rescue him. Figure out his riddle, find the Blacktail Gnome and win his treasure.

Blacktail Mountain Ski Patrol is a 501 C3 nonprofit QRU (Quick Response Unit) staffed by EMTs and paramedics. Members provide medical care in adverse conditions and specialize in emergency care, packaging and transport, at no cost to the patients.

All proceeds from the day’s events will help support Blacktail Ski Patrol and maintain its mission in providing the highest quality care.
