Julie Fredenberg Goulet, 56

| February 14, 2019 4:00 AM

Julie passed away on Feb. 9, 2019, following an exhausting, hard struggle with lung cancer and brain cancer.

She was born Feb. 26, 1962, in Billings. She came into the loving arms of Les and Jo Ann Fredenberg. Brothers Tom and Bill were thrilled with their new sister.

Julie grew up in Whitefish and graduated from Whitefish High School in 1980.

She loved horses and in high school had her own paint horse named Lacy.

After high school she moved to Kalispell and began working at Taco Johns.

She met Bryan Goulet and they married on March 26, 1983. They had three children, Tyler, Josh and Kayla.

Julie was a hardworking, dependable worker wherever she worked. She worked for many years for Taco Johns and at the old Walmart. Her latest job was at Teletec in Kalispell.

Whenever she had days off in the summer they would head out to go camping somewhere. She especially loved the backside of Thompson Lake and McGregor Lake. She would cook and pack supplies for days ahead to make sure everyone would be comfortable and well fed. She was famous for her 10-pound lasagna and Better than Sex cake.

Julie loved flowers and at her new home they moved to three years ago she designed and planted a beautiful rock garden and roses that just seemed to bloom all summer long.

She was preceded in death by her father Les Fredenberg, and brother Bill Fredenberg.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan Goulet; and children, Tyler Goulet of Missoula, Josh Goulet of Columbia Falls, and Kayla Goulet of Columbia Falls; and two grandsons, Caleb Neff and Keenan Dinelli of Columbia Falls who were very special to her. She is also survived by her mother Jo Ann Fredenberg of Columbia Falls, and her brother Tom of Newport, Washington.
