Man fatally shot in Coram, 19-year-old charged with deliberate homicide
Martin J. Chandler, 19, was arrested in the fatal shooting 54-year-old William Melton.
A 19-year-old man is in custody after a fatal shooting in Coram early this morning.
Martin J. Chandler is suspected of killing 54-year-old William Melton who died of gunshot wounds.
Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired at 1:30 a.m. today and quickly apprehended Chandler who is charged with deliberate homicide and is being held without bail.
Columbia Falls Police Department also responded.
The incident remains under investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
