In 1959 she married Ramon Schiele of Ronan. While living in Ronan, Ramona and Carlynn were born. In 1964 they moved to Eureka where Kevin and Beth were added to the family. They later divorced and Jane moved to the Flathead Valley. In 2001 she married Nick Gabanyicz of Columbia Falls.

Jane treasured her family and spent as much time as possible with them, camping, playing cards, canning and celebrating birthdays and holidays. She was always willing to help them out in any way she was able. She worked retail in Kalispell, retiring from JCPenney, and retired a second time at age 76, from the Northwest Montana Veterans Food Pantry where she volunteered for several years until they put her on the payroll.

Jane is survived by her husband, Nick; children, Ramona Schiele, Kevin (Taffy) Schiele, Carlynn (Mike) Stahlberg, and Beth (Tom) Miller, all of Kalispell; grandchildren, Mike (Samantha) Byers, Elissa (Kyle) Koehler, Matthew Stahlberg, Bryan (Heather Meyer) Stahlberg, Kevin Stahlberg, Danika (Jared Incoronato) Schiele, Lacey Schiele, Joshua Miller and Kaylee Miller; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Ransom Byers, Reina and Kaedence Jane Koehler, Cole Incoronato and Zoe Schiele. She is survived by her sisters, Ida Howell and Gladys (Bill) Harlan of Missoula, and brother, Sid (Nancy) Palmer of Sidney, Montana, and many cousins and extended family members.

Jane was preceded in death by her stillborn son and both parents. She leaves behind many beloved memories and loyal friends, Ardith, Gloria, Linda, Kathleen, Jan, and many others.

At her request, a memorial luncheon for family and close friends will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Faith Covenant Church, 611 Third Avenue East in Kalispell.

We love and miss you greatly!
