Polson boys slide by Stevi in basketball

POLSON — Polson outscored Stevensville in all four quarters to claim a 66-45 Class A boys basketball victory on Friday evening at Salish Kootenai College.

Polson, 4-5 overall, led 26-18 at the half and finished with a 23-point fourth quarter.

Twelve players scored for Polson, led by Colton Graham with 16. Kordell Walker added nine.

Logan Roth had 15 for Stevensville and Colby Meeds was next with 14.

Polson hosts Libby today in Northwest A Conference play.

FRENCHTOWN — Frenchtown rattled off a 32-point second quarter to storm past Ronan in Class A nonconference action.

Frenchtown led 46-28 at intermission and 67-40 after three quarters.

Cade Baker topped Frenchtown in scoring with 15 points.

Anthony Camel had a game-high 20 points for Ronan.

HELENA — Stillwater Christian School outscored Helena Christian School 17-4 in the second quarter to blow the game open en route to a 35-point victory in Montana Christian Athletic Association play.

Stillwater was led offensively by Selah Neumann, 23 points, and Helen Hashley 12.

Neumann scored 16 points in the final quarter.

Stillwater is back in action today.

BIGFORK — A fast start and big second half carried Bigfork to a District 7B victory over Thompson Falls.

Bigfork, 4-5, led 14-6 and 31-19 after the first two quarter stops.

Bigfork outscored Thompson Falls 30-14 in the second half.

Ansley Edgerton led a balanced Bigfork attack with 14 points. Jordan Nelson followed with 13 and Meredith Bedford netted 11.

Megan Baxter topped Thompson Falls, and all scorers, with 15 points.

Bigfork hosts Florence-Carlton today at 5 p.m.

STEVENSVILLE — Stevensville nearly doubled the score on Polson in the first and rolled from there for a 13-point Class A nonconference victory.

Stevensville led 23-14 at the break.

Angel Richards led Stevensville in scoring with 20 points. Kennedy Praast added 12.

Mossy Kauley was high scorer for Polson with 11.
