Man flees after slicing another's face

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report that a tall, skinny man allegedly “sliced” another man’s cheek from mouth to ear using a six-inch knife in Woodland Park in Kalispell. The suspect reportedly left on a bicycle. The area was cleaned up and interviews conducted with witnesses.

A passerby on Fairmont Road in Kalispell was disconcerted by a woman walking outside who reportedly wasn’t wearing a coat or shoes despite winter temperatures. A man seen walking behind her was carrying a pair of shoes. The passerby said the woman didn’t seem in distress, but the whole situation was odd.

A woman was seen allegedly punching a man after he smashed an unknown item in Woodland Park in Kalispell. The woman reportedly followed the man, who was on foot, in a vehicle. She then pulled over and started chasing the man. The chase reportedly continued on to Conrad Complex and Conrad Cemetery when deputies caught up with the duo.

Someone on Rockhill Road Kila found footprints and blood in the snow that may have been from a small kill, possibly a rabbit.

A construction worker on U.S. 2 in Columbia Falls arrived to work to find all his tools had been stolen.

Deputies followed up with a Columbia Falls woman who wanted to update officers about a report regarding stolen chinchillas. The woman said she was living at an address when she left the animals behind and they were given away. She was advised the incident was a civil issue.

Dispatchers gleaned what they could from a possibly intoxicated man on Bear Trail Road in Whitefish who claimed a neighbor stole a beer from his yard.

A customer on U.S. 93 in Whitefish told officers they he was calling on behalf of an employee to report a man hanging around the business and possibly stalking the employee. Customers reportedly had helped escort the man out of the business. Deputies deemed the man was “just a bit eccentric.”

Employees wanted a purportedly very intoxicated man — who was still drinking despite allegedly urinating on himself — to leave a business on U.S. 2 in Kalispell.

An Evergreen Drive resident was concerned that a vehicle was being used to “cook” methamphetamine.

Someone on Whitefish Stage in Kalispell reported a tire had been slashed on their vehicle.

Someone on Meadow Hills Drive in Kalispell reportedly had difficulty getting into the neighborhood because people had blocked the road. A homeowner was contacted and said they would clear the road and that it had been blocked out of concern that vehicles coming up the hill could hit children sledding.

A man was seen lying on the side of the roadway on U.S. 93 in Whitefish. The man then reportedly got up and started running and stumbling toward a scared woman in her vehicle.

Someone on Baker Avenue in Whitefish was not having it when they reported a woman driver allegedly crossing both lanes of traffic, driving slowly and slamming on the brakes. The woman was counseled and warned about her driving habits.
