Mission Mountain Wood Band presents a benefit concert

Logjam Presents and the Montana World Affairs Council welcome the Mission Mountain Wood Band live for a benefit concert March 3 in Missoula to support Global Education Initiatives for Montana Youth.

The Mission Mountain Wood Band is coming to Missoula’s historic Wilma and bringing its original special brand of musical entertainment, which includes bluegrass, rock ‘n’ roll, and Montana party music. The members of the six-piece band play twice as many instruments, and all of them hail from Big Sky Country.

Mission Mountain Wood Band first came to national prominence when they toured non-stop, putting nearly 3 million miles on their scenic cruiser tour bus and playing over 250 cities a year for a dozen years. From New York City to LA, from Chicago to New Orleans, their tours included over 300 college campuses throughout the United States and Canada. They have been featured many times on all of the broadcast news networks, recorded three full-length albums, a box set and a movie.

Mission Mountain Wood Band was named one of the top Montana musical groups of the 20th century by the Missoulian. The band today includes original band members Rob Quist, Steve Riddle and drummer Greg Reichenberg.
