Legion Baseball Twins A 2-0 at Sapa-Johnsrud

WHITEFISH — Jack Schwaiger and Coby Clark-Dickinson both tripled and drove in two runs as the Glacier Twins A used a five-run third inning to pull away for a 9-1 victory on Friday at the 35th annual Sapa-Johnsrud Memorial Tournament at Memorial Field.

The Twins (26-14 overall) are 2-0 in tournament play.

The Miners are 0-3.

Schwaiger, batting lead off, and Forrest Kobelt were both 2 for 3. The Twins totaled seven hits.

The Miners (16-33) had five errors to none for the Twins.

Chad Queen and Stevyn Andrachick combined on a 3-hitter. Queen pitched four innings to get the win. He struck out four, walked five and allowed three hits.

Tournament play continues today and runs through Sunday.

Lethbridge AA 9, Kalispell AA 2

WHITEFISH — Lethbridge used 11 hits to score nine runs as the Elks AA improved to 2-0 in tournament play.

The Lakers are now 1-1.

Lethbridge did all of its scoring in four innings, pushing three across the plate in the first and two in the second, fifth and sixth innings.

Kalispell had one-run innings in the third and fifth.

Brendan Schulz and Zach Tremper shared mound duties for the Elks and held the Lakers to six hits. They combined to strike out five batters and walked three. Schulz, who pitched the first four innings, earned the win.

Jonathan Craver doubled and singled for the Lakers (28-16).

Josh Kabayama, Ryley Chalack and Nathan Reeder had two hits each for Lethbridge (26-12).
