State Park Road closure begins July 15
The city of Whitefish will close State Park Road from Lion Mountain Loop Road to Haugen Heights Road on Monday, July 15, to facilitate road reconstruction.
This segment of State Park Road will remain closed for approximately three months and will reopen to the public in late October. A signed detour will be posted during this time.
The detour will route traffic around the construction zone using portions of Meadowlark Lane, Stumptown Loop, Haugen Heights Road and Patton Lane. Temporary speed bumps will be installed along the detour and a temporary reduced speed of 15 miles per hour will be posted.
Whitefish Lake State Park will remain open to all users and vehicles during the roadway reconstruction project.
Local access to Forest Ridge Drive and Eagle Ridge Circle will be provided through the construction zone via Mountain Park Drive.
