Police officer serves chicken ordinance

Someone called the Kalispell Police Department with “questions on the rules on having chickens and a rooster.” The caller’s chicken-owning neighbors had recently purchased a rooster to add to their brood, so a police officer left a copy of the city’s chicken ordinance on the caller’s front door.
Someone brought her son to the Kalispell Police Department because he had never seen a police officer before. It turned out that she also came to pay a ticket.
Someone suspected that a liquor store patron had stolen something, possibly because he was wearing a backpack.
